AGNOR, Carson W., 90 , of Raleigh, N.C., died Monday, August 8, 1994, at the home of his son in Raleigh, N.C. He was born in August 8, 1904 in Buena Vista, Va., the son of the late Alfred and Mary Ellen Agnor. Mr. Agnor lived at 1220 Thompson Memorial Dr. in Salem, Va. from 1941 to 1987. He worked for American Visco Corp. until 1958. He then owned and operated and operated Agnor's Flower Service in Salem, Va. until 1985. He is survived by his wife, Lillian N. Agnor; son, William C. Agnor; daughter-in-law, Joan Weaver Agnor; grandson, Mark A. Agnor; and granddaughter, Susan R. Agnor, all of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. May E. Vester, Roanoke, and Mrs. Katherine Patsel, Vinton. Burial services will be held Wednesday August 10, 1994, at Greenhill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Va.

AUSTIN, Joseph P. 76, of Radford, died Saturday, August 6, 1994. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 1994 at 11 a.m. at East Radford Church of God. Arrangements by De Vilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.

BOND, Inez Vaught, 67, of Roanoke, died Friday, August 5, 1994. Graveside service 10 a.m. Wednesday at Coyner Springs Cemetery, Botetourt County. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

BRIDGE, Rebecca Custis, 97, of Salem, died Monday, August 8, 1994, in a local hospital.

ENTSMINGER, Helen Shepard, 82, of Covington, died Monday, August 8, 1994. Funeral 2 p.m. wednesday in the Loving Funeral Home Chapel.

GEAR, Arthur Jr., (``Bill''), 68, of Roanoke, died Sunday, August 7, 1994, in a local hospital. Mr. Gear was a Army veteran of World War II, retired from Norfolk & Southern with over 40 years of service, and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He was a 47 year member of the Otterbein Masonic Lodge #561 AF & AM, Otterbein, Indiana. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Gear, Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, James and Sally Gear, Roanoke; daughter, Candy Mees, Novato, Calif.; three grandchildren, Evan Gear, Meggie Gear, and Kit Mees; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence (Velma) Dill; and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin (Jean) Martin, all of Indiana); two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Gear, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gear, all of Indiana; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Mark A. Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park with Masonic Grave Rites. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Oakey's South Chapel.

HALL, Asenath Jennings, 76, of Troutville, died Sunday, August 7, 1994. She is survived by her husband, Ira C. Hall, Troutville; one son, Danny L. Hall, Salem; three daughters, Wanda Booher, Dreama H. Tompkins, both of Reidsville, N.C., Kathy H. Clemmons, Roanoke; three sisters, Donna Bucchi, Hagerstown, Md., Ruth Phipps, Morrisville, Pa., Dolly Lester, Bluefield, W.Va.; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 1994, 2 p.m. at the Rader Troutville Chapel with the Rev. John Oyler officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

HALL, Barbara Jean, 46, of Bassett, died Sunday, August 7, 1994. Funeral 8 p.m. Tuesday, Tomlinson-Bassett Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Mitchel Chapel Cemetery, Dougspur, Va.

HELEMS, Mearl Dallas Sr., 78, of Paint Bank, died Sunday, August 7, 1994 in Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem. He was born January 29, 1916 in Craig County. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Tingler Helems, Paint Bank; one son, Mearl Davis Helems Jr., New Castle; one daughter, Mrs. S. G. (Myrtle Ann) Zimmerman, Roanoke; four grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene Helems, Arnold Helems, and Hale Helems, all of New Castle; one sister, Mrs. Roxy Abbott, New Castle; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Helems was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah Jamison Helems in 1981. Funeral services 4 p.m. Tuesday in Maple Grove Christian Church, in Paint Bank, with the Rev. Ernie Johnson officiating, assisted by Mr. Cody Taylor. Interment will follow in Paint Bank Community Cemetery. The family suggests donations, in Mr. Helems' name, be made to the Paint Bank Voluntary Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad. Arrangements by Arritt Funeral Home, Covington.

McNEIL, Alma Hudson Coleman, 83, of Thaxton, passed away Sunday, August 7, 1994, in a Roanoke hospital. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie C. Burmeister. Surviving are her husband, Theodore S. (Bud) McNeil; three sons, Curtis W. Coleman Jr., Lynchburg, Marvin A. Coleman, Squaw Valley, Calif., Terrell Coleman, Santa Rosa, Calif.; three daughters, Doris C. Irby, Lunenburg, Virginia C. Reynolds, Forest, Shirley C. Staton, Monroe; 28 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren; two sisters, Verna Ware, Spout Springs, Mildred Bowling, Lynchburg. Graveside services will be in Sherwood Memorial Park, 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Frank Feather officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
