NRCC, ODU PLAN PARTNERSHIP

New River Community College will start a distance learning program with Old Dominion University this fall allowing students living in the region to enroll in bachelor's degree programs taught through interactive broadcasts.

The TeleTechNet program will transmit course offerings from the ODU campus in Norfolk by satellite. The programs include nursing, engineering technology and business administration.

Teresa Delph has been named site director at NRCC for the program. An open house showing how it works will be held 9:30-11:30 a.m. Aug. 22 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 23. Potential students can call Delph at 674-3630 for further information and applications. Tuition will be $115 per credit hour for Virginia students and $190 out-of-state.|
