The man entered the Orange Market at Hemlock Road and Boulevard when no customers were in the store, Sgt. D.M. Leah of the Salem police said. While the attendants had their backs turned stocking merchandise, the man reached across the counter, grabbed between $250 and $500 and fled the store on foot, Leah said.
Leah said since no weapons were used, the crime will be considered grand larceny.
