MAN CHARGED IN ROANOKER'S DEATH

BALD KNOB, W.Va. - A Boone County man was charged with murder in the slaying of a Roanoke, Va., woman, West Virginia State Police said.

Herman White Jr., whose age was unavailable, was charged Sunday, said a spokesman for the state police detachment in South Charleston.

Deborah Goodwin, 41, had been missing for several days before her body was found Sunday.

White, a Boone County native, had recently moved to Roanoke, the spokesman said.
