EPA extends deal with Roanoke firm

ETS International Inc. of Roanoke said the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has extended a contract granted in 1991 to its environmental laboratory subsidiary, ETS Analytical Services Inc.

The one-year extension, if all options are exercised, will bring the total contract value to $773,383.

The contract with the EPA's Office of Water requires the analysis of 69 trace metals contained in waste-water discharges from industrial sites across the United States. EPA uses the data to develop waste-water toxic discharge standards.
