Hours for the Labor Day weekend festival on the grounds of the historic Howe House will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 3, 12 noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 4, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 5.
Exhibits will include stained glass, pottery, jewelry, baskets, woodwork, Indian crafts, painting and photography mostly by Virginians.
Food, including barbecue, Chinese offerings and baked goods, will be sold. Live entertainment will be provided.
The festival is sponsored by the Virginia Mountain Crafts Guild in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.
The guild was formed in 1975 to promote and improve the quality of regional crafts. It will award a part of the festival proceeds to a scholarship for a young crafts-maker pursuing a career in the field of arts and crafts.
