EVEN INDOOR CATS NEED TO BE KEPT UP ON VACCINATIONS

Cat owners who keep their pets indoors need to be aware that sticking to an annual vaccination schedule is still important, even though their felines may seldom have contact with other animals.

Keeping cats indoors minimizes their risk of contracting an illness from a free-roaming animal, but it's important to note that several infectious diseases common in cats are caused by airborne organisms, which can enter the home through open doors and windows or hitch a ride in on your clothes or hands.

Fortunately, highly effective vaccines have been developed for some of these diseases.
