HERE'S WHERE TO FIND RACQUETBALL COURTS

A listing of the racquetball courts in the Roanoke Valley open to the public:

COUNTRYSIDE: 1 Countryside Road, Roanoke. Two courts. The fee per season for one reserved court time a week is $200 for a one-hour slot. Guests may play with members for a $4 fee. There is also a $90 fee for nonmembers for open play, which is on a first-come, first-served basis. Rates are subject to change. Courts closed until Sept. 1. 563-0391.

YMCA CENTRAL: Church Avenue and Fifth Street Southwest, Roanoke. Five courts, three air-conditioned. No fee for members, $5 for nonmembers. Open Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Also open Sunday 1-6 p.m. Membership fee is $362 per year, or $26 per month plus $50 joining fee. Lessons are available during the winter. 342-9622.

ROANOKE ATHLETIC CLUB: 4508 Starkey Road. Eight courts, all air-conditioned. Single membership is $180 initiation fee plus $52 per month; family membership is $240 initiation fee plus $84 per month. Hours: Monday-Friday 5:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m., Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Lessons are available. 989-5758.
