POLICE INVESTIGATE ROBBERY BY BICYCLIST

Roanoke police are investigating the robbery of a pizza delivery person in Northwest Roanoke over the weekend.

Joseph L. Moore, a driver for the Melrose Avenue Pizza Hut, told police he was delivering a pizza to a Massachusetts Avenue home close to midnight Friday when he was approached by a man on a bicycle.

After saying he needed money, the man placed his hand in his pocket as if he were carrying a gun and demanded that Moore give him what he had.

Moore handed him $20.

No one has been arrested.
