Anthony Grieco was arrested Monday in connection with the Jan. 11 abduction and rape of a 40-year-old woman who was taken from a bus stop.
Fairfax County police also charged Grieco with the brief abduction of a 58-year-old woman last week from a shopping center parking lot.Police spokesman Warren Carmichael said the age of the suspect is unusual for such a case.
Police said that in the Jan. 11 incident, the assailant forced the woman into his car and took her to a secluded Falls Church location, where he sexually assaulted her.
In the second attack, the woman was walking through the Merrifield Plaza parking lot when she was grabbed from behind and shoved into a car. She escaped unharmed, police said.
Grieco was being held on $75,000 bail at the Fairfax County jail. Police would not say what led them to Grieco.
