BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

All events for the 1994 Vinton Old-Time Bluegrass Festival and Competition will be held at the Vinton Farmers' Market. The schedule includes:

Today, 6 p.m. - Nationally known recording artists, The Del McCoury Band. Also bands from the Roanoke Fiddle & Banjo Club.

Friday, 10 a.m. - Craft show (runs through Sunday evening).

Friday, 6 p.m. - Concert by the winners of last year's competition: Plum Sideways and the Original Orchard Grass Band. Also a concert by the host band, Inheritance.

Saturday, 9 a.m. - Competition begins with about 20 bands from all over the country competing for cash prizes, followed by an evening winner's concert.

Sunday, 11 a.m. - Church service with the Rev. Fred Ellsworth, followed by bluegrass gospel bands throughout the day.

Main Attraction: Concert by the Lewis Family. Other attractions: Carnival rides and games.
