NIKKI GIOVANNI APPEARS AT RAM'S HEAD

Poet and author Nikki Giovanni will be at Ram's Head Book Shop on Aug. 20 from 1-3 p.m. where she will sign copies of her books ``Grandmothers,'' ``Racism 101'' and ``Knoxville, Tennessee.''

Also, Curious George will entertain children that day at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Ram's Head Book Shop is in Towers Mall in Roanoke.
