SINGER TO APPEAR

Elektra recording artist and Texas singer-songwriter Jimmie Dale Gilmore will appear at The Record Exchange at Cave Spring Corners in Roanoke on Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. His appearance precedes his performance that night at The Iroquois Club on 324 Salem Ave. in Roanoke.

Gilmore, a critically acclaimed country music artist, most recently released ``Spinning Around the Sun,'' following 1991's ``After Awhile.'' In 1991 and 1992, Rolling Stone magazine's Critics Polls voted him Country Artist of the Year.
