O'LEARY TO ADDRESS VA. COAL COUNCIL

Hazel O'Leary, secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy, will be the main speaker at the Virginia Coal Council's 16th annual conference Oct. 10-11 at the Martha Washington Inn.

Her address is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the second day of the conference on Appalachian coal's role in international energy.

The conference will open Oct. 10 with keynote speeches from Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon; Rep. Nick Joe Rahall, D-W.Va.; and Joseph Craft III, National Coal Council chairman.

Conference fees are $200 for Virginia Coal Council members and $250 for nonmembers. Further information is available by calling 964-6363.
