Carol Lee Cakes is owned by Sherree Surface. The building that houses the business at 1414 N. Main St. in Blacksburg is owned by Norman Kidd, who also owns Carol Lee Donut Shop in downtown Blacksburg. Because of a reporter's error, a story in Sunday's New River Current gave incorrect information.

Clarification

In its July 5 response to power-line opponents concerning the alternative routes for a 765,000-volt transmission line, the U.S. Forest Service mentioned only one public information meeting in the New River Valley. The Forest Service added two more meetings, in Blacksburg and Bland, later in July in response to opponents' demands for more input. An article in Saturday's paper about power-line foes' lawsuit against the Forest Service was unclear on when the additional meetings were added.
