Photographs accompanying a story Sunday about moving-in day at Virginia Tech had an incorrect photo credit. James McLeod was the photographer.
Clarification
In its July 5 response to power-line opponents concerning the alternative routes for a 765,000-volt transmission line, the U.S. Forest Service mentioned only one public information meeting in the New River Valley. The Forest Service added two more meetings, in Blacksburg and Bland, later in July in response to opponents' demands for more input. An article in Saturday's paper about power-line foes' lawsuit against the Forest Service was unclear on when the additional meetings were added.
Amplification
Votes of Virginia's congressional delegation were left out of a story Monday about the crime bill. Reps. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon, Bob Goodlatte, R-Roanoke, and L.F. Payne, D-Nelson County, voted against it; the only Virginia representatives who voted for it were Democrats James Moran of Alexandria and Leslie Byrne of Fairfax.
