TECH COMMUNICATIONS GRADUATE WINS INTERNSHIP AT WHITE HOUSE

Thomas Zuckerwar, a Virginia Tech graduate from Newport News, has been accepted for an internship at the White House. Zuckerwar, who received a bachelor of arts degree in communication, will start working for the Office of Domestic Policy in September.

The job will allow him to participate in the operation of press conferences, briefings and public events. The internship is scheduled to last until December.

From the fall of 1993 until this month, Zuckerwar worked for Tech's university relations office. He is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
