RADFORD MAIN ST. WORSHOP TODAY|

A free workshop, "Historical Preservation and Economic Development in Radford," will be held today from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Norwood Center meeting room.

A presentation will outline some of the findings of the architectural survey begun in February, and two downtown building owners will recount their preservation experiences.

Representatives of the city's development office and the Virginia Main Street program also will speak.

The workshop is sponsored by the Roanoke Regional Preservation Office of the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, as well as Main Street Radford and the Radford Heritage Foundation.
