CORELL, Oscar B. Jr., 71, of Eagle Rock, died Wednesday, August 24, 1994 in a Roanoke hospital. He is survived by his wife, Helen L. Corell; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Martha Corell, Lynchburg, Michael and Sandra Corell, Clifton Forge, Wayne and Rachel Corell, Roanoke; two sisters, Anna Kathryn Burroughs, Fincastle, Louise McGavock, Staunton; one brother, James Corell, Covington; four grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services 2 p.m. Saturday in the Galatia Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Robert McRae officiating. EARLY, Arnold Dean, 89, of Radford, died Wednesday, August 24, 1994 at Richfield Retirement Center, Salem. He was a retired employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was born July 16, 1905, the son of the late Arrington J. Early and Gillie Graham Early. He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Bess Early. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law Gladys and Fred Boyd of Radford; a granddaughter, Donna Gail Boyd of Radford; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Rev. Ron Dean Boyd and Alma Boyd of Troutville; two great-grandchildren, Roby and Ashley Boyd. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Radford Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Cecil Frazier and the Rev. Ron Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the East Hill Cemetery in Salem. FAINTER, Mary Lee, 96, of Route 1, Stuarts Draft, died Thursday, August 25, 1994, at Blue Ridge Christian Home. She was born April 30, 1898 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, a daughter of John Wesley and Mary Agnes Pettigrew Goolsby. Survivors include four sons, Robert L. Fainter, Leonard R. Fainter, Kenneth F. Fainter, William L. Fainter all of Stuarts Draft and two daughters, Mrs. Ray P. (Mary) Kimble of Waynesboro, Mrs. Richard D. (Anna) Chaffin of Camden, South Carolina; one foster daughter, Gladys Broughman Swisher of Stuarts Drafts; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Gray Fainter and a granddaughter, Diane Fisher. A service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Etter Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Roy Creech. The family will assemble at the Natural Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery in for burial at 1 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Alan Tuten, Robbie Stover, Ray Kimble, David Kimble, Kirk Kimble, Bruce Fainter, Randy Fainter, Lewis Lowery and Elwood Arehart. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

HOLLAND, Ora Walters, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, August 24, 1994. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Leonard C. Holland; her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Darhlene Holland, Roanoke; her grandson, Dwight A. Holland, Roanoke; her granddaughter, Susan H. Hasheminejad and husband, Hameed, Catawba; her sisters, Ida W. Helms, Callaway, Violet W. Brown, Roanoke, Essie W. Guilliams, Hampton; her brothers, D. W. Walters, Stanley Walters, both of Callaway. HOLLINS, Mary Alma, 88, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 1994. She was a charter member of the East Gate Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by sisters, Susie H. Conner, Verbena H. Simpson, Minnie H. Peters, all of Roanoke, Rever H. Bowman, Williamstown, W.Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Adrienne H. and Koy W. Phillips, Nashville, Tenn.; 11 nieces and nephews; a number of great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the East Gate Church of the Nazarene 1 p.m., Saturday with the Rev. George E. Stevenson and the Rev. Paul Lockhart officiating. MARTIN, Jasper, 76, of Moneta passed away Thursday, August 25, 1994, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bedford County on April 29, 1918, a son of the late Johnny Martin and Mary Lynch Martin. He was a retired farmer and a member of Radford Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Edna Mayhew Martin; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Faye Martin; a grandson, Joshua Martin; a sister, Myrtle Mayhew and a brother, Hampton Martin, all of Moneta. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 27, 1994 at 3 p.m. from Radford Baptist Church with interment in the Mayhew Family Cemetery. MILLER, Rachel Carbaugh, 67, of Salem, died Thursday, August 25, 1994, in a local nursing home. She was a retired nurse and was an outstanding mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Miller and is survived by three sons, Conan Lee Miller, Fort Mitchell, Ken., Eric Allen Miller, Pulaski, Brian Miller, West Bend, Wis.; two daughters, Catherine M. Anderson, Oxford, Conn., Cynthia M. Smith, Salem; her mother, Margaret Neal Carbaugh, Roanoke; four brothers; five sisters; seven grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 1994, at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ken Nienke officiating. MOOERS, Frances Walters, 79, of Christiansburg, died Wednesday evening, August 24, 1994 in a Radford hospital. She is survived by two sisters, Peg Fleming, Hester W. Martin; a niece, Nancy M. Reynolds; nephew, Michael W. Martin, all of Christiansburg; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sidney L. PARKS, Andrew Jackson (``Jack''), of Rural Retreat, died Wednesday, August 24, 1994, at his residence. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Parks and is survived by his wife, Ona Martin Parks, Rural Retreat; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Steve Patterson, Fayetteville, N.C., Jean and Dean King, Rural Retreat; three sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew Jackson Jr. and Carol Parks, Hampton, Va., Tony and Joy Parks, Rural Retreat, Michael and Kim Newman, Rural Retreat; one brother, James Parks, Rising Sun, Md.; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Grubb Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Richard Gregory and the Rev. Rance Edwards, with the interment to follow in the Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rural Retreat. The Ame rican Legion Post #229 will conduct the Military Rites. PETERS, Beula Bowman, 101, of Route 4, Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, August 24, 1994, at her home. She was born April 29, 1893, a daughter of James A. and Arena Flora Bowman. She attended Daleville College and taught for 5 years in the Franklin Co. School System. She was a member of Antioch Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School and served as Deaconess for many years. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilcie Peters. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jewell and Russell Boitnott, Virginia Ann and Richard Flora all of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Hattie B. Bowman, Rocky Mount, Clyde B. Wood, Roanoke; also surviving are seven grandchildren, June Flora Lindsey, Menlo Park, Calif., Carol Flora, Rocky Mount, Stuart B. Flora, Raleigh, N. C., Anne Boitnott McClelland, Kingsport, Tenn., John T. Boitnott and William P. Boitnott both of Rocky Mount, Gladys Boitnott Hall, Hardy; six great-grandchildren, Blair Flora, April Flora, Alex McClelland, Hunter McClelland, Savannah Lindsey and Zackary Lindsey. Funeral services will be conducted at Antioch Church of the Brethren, 3 p.m. Sunday, with Pastors Gerald and Rebecca Baile Crouse officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. QUESENBERRY, Earl Lee, of Vinton, died Thursday, August 25, 1994 in a local hospital. He was a native of Beckley, W.V. and was retired from Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII. Surviving are wife, Linda G. Quesenberry; two sons, John A. Quesenberry, of Calabash, N.C., Earl L. Quesenberry, Jr., of Owensville, Ind.; one daughter, Brenda Gale Quesenberry, of Beckley, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Christine Lee Quesenberry; two sisters, Ida Boroski, of Tularosa, N.M., Nancy Boone, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two brothers, Frederick Quesenberry, of Emerald Isle, N.C., Dennis Quesenberry, of Raleigh, N.C. A memorial service will be held at Oakey's Vinton Chapel 3 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ron Young officiating.

RHINEHART, Janice S., 69, a resident of Rt. #1, Afton, Virginia died, August 25,1994, at the University of Virginia Medical Center at Charlottesville, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Davis Spangler who died March 2, 1973, her second husband, John Odell Rhinehart who died October 17, 1988, also a sister, Phyllis Sutton. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Allen Metcalf of Davenport, Fla.; one son, Glenn E. Spangler of Waynesboro, Virginia. A funeral service will be held at McDow Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Virginia at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 1994. The interment will be in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro, Va.

SHAW, Louise Bond, 83, of Radford, died Thursday, August 25, 1994, at Carriage Hill Retirement Center in Bedford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Max Shaw. She was born in Radford and was a graduate of Radford State Teachers College, presently Radford University. She was a retired school teacher from Radford City School System, and a 32 year resident of North Augusta, S.C. She is survived by a nephew, Melvin B. Johnson of Roanoke; a niece, Muriel J. Crowder of St. Albans, W.Va. A Graveside service will be held Sunday, August 28, 1994 at 2 p.m. from Central Cemetery in Radford with the Rev. Clarence Dishman officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 7 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.

STEWART, Henry Randolph, (``Bud""), 77, of Elliston, died Thursday morning, August 25, 1994 in the Virginia Veteran's Care Center in Salem, Va. He was an Army veteran of WWII. ``Bud"" was an auctioneer for many years and also owned and operated a car dealership in Salem with his brother ``Buck"". He lived his entire life on the family farm in Seneca Hollow, between the mountains where he was born, raised and hunted with the little beagles that he so loved. Surviving are two brothers, Joe Stewart, Elliston, Leo ``Buck"" Stewart, Salem; a sister, Lois Stout, Marietta, Ga.; a special friend, Ruth Thomas of Roanoke; several nieces, nephews and a special great-nephew, Jamie Weddle. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the Richardson-Horne Chapel in Christiansburg, conducted by the Rev. Steve Sholar. Burial in Sunset Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after noon Friday at the funeral home and the family will receive friends there from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
