Down three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to the Lynchburg Red Sox, the Bucs produced five runs all via the long ball to pull out a had-to-see-it-to-believe-it 7-6 victory in the last game at the yard built in 1927.
The most improbable occurence of all was the homer that would win the game. Reed Secrist, batting for Alan Purdy, produced a two-out three-run home run.
It was the first pinch homer for the Bucs all year.
``It was the first pinch homer I've hit in my life,'' said Secrist.
Just as important was the two-run shot Lou Collier hit in the eighth for the Bucs.
Jon Farrell went 3-for-5 with a triple, extending his hitting streak to 12 games.
