Dibrell Brothers Inc., Danville tobacco processor and importer and distributor of fresh flowers, reported net income of $2.9 million, or 21 cents per share, for its fiscal year ended June 30, but a net loss of $9.1 million, or 69 cents per share, after a $12 million one-time charge related to a change in monetary policy by Brazil. Year-earlier net income was $38.3 million, or $2.87 per share. Sales for 1994 were $919.1 million, down from $1.07 billion.
The company reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $18.2 million, or $1.37 per share, against year-earlier income of $13.3 million, or 99 cents. Sales were $227.6 million, down from $260.1 million.
