Ceremonies are 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at the James Moyer Complex in Salem. As many as 70 teams are expected to compete in the event, which is being co-sponsored by Virginia Amateur Sports and the Virginia U.S. Slo-pitch Softball Association.
A weekend pass that admits the holder to four days of play plus Friday's opening ceremonies costs $12. Single-day passes are $5 and include Friday's pre-tournament event.

Leonard Rorrer and Adam Harris shot 5-over-par 41s Monday to help lead Floyd County to a 168-190 high school golf victory over Magna Vista at Great Oaks Golf Club in Floyd. Barry Largen added a 42 and Justin Fontaine 44 for the Buffaloes. The Warriors' Josh Saunders earned medalist honors by shooting 40. Mike Moore had a 48 and Chris Kerrick and Joe Brock added 51s for Magna Vista.
Virginia Tech is picked to finish fifth in the Metro Conference men's soccer race, according to the league's head coaches. South Carolina is expected to win the championship, followed by UNC Charlotte, Virginia Commonwealth, South Florida, Virginia Tech and Louisville.
