DOTTY TALBOTT of Dublin, who heads up the Ms. Virginia Senior Citizen Pageant, reports she's ``still weary'' in the wake of the second annual pageant last Friday and Saturday in Roanoke. ``Niecy'' Hunt, 61, of Roanoke was crowned Ms. Virginia Senior Citizen at the pageant finale Saturday.
``It went beautifully,'' said Talbott, 70, who became the first Ms. National Senior Citizen in 1991 and spearheaded the effort for a state pageant. Talbott wound up spending two days in the hospital for exhaustion just before the pageant. She made the show but was still wearing a heart monitor earlier this week. ``I'll be fine,'' she predicted, adding that work on next August's pageant gets under way in earnest in October.
