Choices discussed
SALT LAKE CITY - Thousands of Mormon women attending the church's annual women's meeting were urged to employ study and faith to become self-reliant.
Chieko N. Okazaki, first counselor of the church's General Relief Society, compared study and faith to a set of oars. With only one oar, ``you go around and around in circles,'' she said.
The meeting Saturday in the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square was broadcast via satellite to more than 3,000 church buildings throughout the United States, Canada and other countries.
The Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has more than 21,000 local units in 150 nations and territories.
Okazaki urged Mormon women not to judge each other's life choices.
