RURAL RETREAT TOPS PIONEERS

RURAL RETREAT - Tanya Tarter scored 17 points to lead Rural Retreat to a 60-51 victory over Fort Chiswell in a non-district girls' high school basketball game Saturday.

Beth Ketner added 13 points for Rural Retreat (7-3).

Jenny Porter led the Pioneers with 17 points and Laura Freeman and Jennifer Sparks each scored 12.
