The Roanoke Chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters and Insurance Schools Inc. will hold a health care reform seminar Friday for insurance agents and operators of small businesses. Domestic coal production totaled 20 million tons in the week ending Sept. 24, the same as the previous week, the U.S. Department of Energy reported Monday. The U.S. coal industry produced 18.7 million tons in the same week last year. Coal production so far this year is about 757 million tons, 9 percent ahead of last year's production at this time.

Masterclean Inc., a Winston-Salem, N.C., general contractor, has opened a Roanoke division at 6136 Peters Creek Road. The Roanoke operation, to employ 20, will specialize in asbestos and lead-based paint removal. David Huddleston is the Roanoke manager.
