FLA. FUGITIVE CAUGHT IN GILES COUNTY

Giles County sheriff's deputies and state police on Wednesday captured a Florida man who is accused of murder.

Walter Randall Davis Jr., 20, has been charged in the killing of Victor Tripp, 20, of Putnam County, Fla.

Giles County Lt. Gary Price said Davis was captured after authorities stopped his car on U.S. 460 near Ripplemead about 3 p.m. He was arrested without incident.

Tripp was killed Sept. 22, and authorities say Davis and his wife, who lived in Putnam County, moved about two weeks ago to the Rich Creek area of Giles County, where his wife has relatives.

Davis is being held in Giles County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail, awaiting an Oct. 14 arraignment, Price said.
