COVINGTON RALLIES FOR 2ND-HALF WIN

Michelle Jeter scored eight of her 11 points as Covington pulled away from a half-time tie to beat Craig County 51-36 on Wednesday night in Pioneer District girls' basketball.

Bessie Laws scored 14 points to lead a balanced attack for the Cougars, who outscored Craig County 16-5 in the third quarter to take control. Nancy Shawver added 13 points for Covington record NA.
