BUCKLEY APPEARANCE RESCHEDULED

Because of illness, William F. Buckley Jr., who was scheduled to be the first speaker Tuesday in Roanoke College's "The Responsibility of the Media in American Life" series, has been rescheduled to speak on Nov. 15. Veteran reporter and commentator Daniel Schorr will take Buckley's place, speaking on "The Effect of the Media on U.S. Politics" at 8 p.m. in the Bast Center.

Schorr's journalism career has spanned nearly 50 years and has included assignments in Europe as well as at home. He is the winner of three Emmys.

There is no cost for the program, but tickets are required. Buckley tickets will be honored. For more information, call co-sponsor WBRA (Channel 15) at 344-0991 (or 800-221-0991), or the Olin Box office at 375-2333.
