RADFORD ANNOUNCES LEAF COLLECTION

The Radford fall leaf collection program begins the week of Oct. 17 on the following schedule:

Monday through Friday, Oct. 17-21, Nov. 7-11 and Nov. 28-Dec. 2, west of Wadsworth Street, including Sunset Village, Forest Park and Inglewood subdivisions.

Oct. 24-28, Nov. 14-18 and Dec. 5-9 in the central city area from Wadsworth Street east to Park Road, including "Plan A," Radford Village, Woodlawn, Cumberlea, Willow Woods, Simpkins VIllage, Ridgefield and Hickory Hill.

Oct. 31-Nov. 4, Nov. 21-25 and Dec. 12-16 in all areas east of Park Road including Mill Village, Radford University, West Street, College Park, Haven Heights, Monroe Terrace, Grand View Heights and Belle Heth School.

Leaves should be piled or bagged on the curb near the street by 8 a.m. of the first collection day for your area. Leaves are available for composting. For more information, call the Public Works Department, 731-3607.
