PEMBROKE MAN IS KILLED IN ACCIDENT

A Pembroke man was killed Wednesday afternoon after the machine he was operating struck a power line.

Oscar B. Dudding Jr., 52, was operating an automobile crusher when the boom touched an electrical wire, according to an employee of Kendall Funeral Home.

The employee said Dudding operated a trucking company with his father and brother.

Dudding also worked as an electrician, and his family was stunned by the accident because they knew how careful he was around electrical wires, the employee said.

No further information was available.
