Roanoke will hold its 16th annual flower give-away on Friday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Free plants from the city flower beds, as well as from hanging baskets used in downtown Roanoke, will be distributed on a first-come basis from the parking lot of the Roanoke Civic Center parking lot. Marilyn Arbogast, Roanoke's horticulturalist, said residents must bring their own boxes or bags.
The distribution dates could change if there is an early frost. To confirm the dates or for more information, call 981-2630.
