The Wildcats (0-14, 0-4) trailed by three at the end of the first quarter, but could manage just three points in the second quarter and fell behind by 17 at halftime.
Holmes, who made 12 of 14 free-throw attempts in the game, led the Vikings with a game-high 19 points. Terri Craig added 12 for Northside.

The Highlander's Marilea Hale had a season-high 27 points, which took up some of the slack for Toree Morris, a Cougars defensive target. Morris had seven points, four fewer than her average. Amanda Bishop added 11 for Glenvar (12-2 overall, 7-0 in the district).
Covington (10-4, 5-2), which has now lost twice to Glenvar, got 14 points from Bessie Laws, and 10 from Michelle Jeter.
