``Ain't it good to be back home again?'' Radford sang.
Radford won the 125-lap Late Model Stock Car feature race of the Affiliated Electronics 300 at Franklin County Speedway. Radford picked up $2,000 for his performance, his first victory at the track in three months.
Radford qualified on the pole, with Dudley Lawhorn on the outside of the front row. Lawhorn, riding a six-race winning streak, took the lead from Radford on lap 2 and held it until he began to lose power on lap 47. He faded to finish eighth, one of his poorest showings in 30 races this year.
Cascade's Stuart Taylor finished second Saturday night. Taylor's only other FCS appearance this year was April 16, when he placed eighth.
Rodney Cundiff, Norfolk's Shawn Balluzzo and Goode's Darryl Lacks finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Balluzzo and Lacks were in the area attempting to qualify for the Advance Auto Parts 500 today in Martinsville.
In other races Saturday night:
Newcomer Ricky Ferguson won the Rookie race. Mike Roberts and James Hunt, battling for the points lead, spun early in the race, but rallied to finish second and third, respectively.
Jay Peery came from the rear of an 18-car field to win the Pure Stock race. Peery's qualifying time of 16.55 seconds was a season best in the division, but he started at the rear of the field because he won on Oct.8. Eric Bishop was second Saturday night, one spot ahead of Tommy Dooley.
Rocky Mount's Mike Elkins edged points leader Mike Dudley in the caution-free Street Stock competition. It was Elkins' seventh victory in the past nine races. Dale Marlowe placed third.
Mini Stock pole-sitter Steve Lam held off challenger Jimmy Cox for his 24th victory of the year. Cox finished second, and Tommy Dean took third.
Anthony Bailey won the 10-lap Truck race for the third consecutive week. Tommy Hall and Larry Dunbar placed second and third, respectively.
Tracy Scott prevailed in the Any Car nightcap.
Track promoter Whitey Taylor announced the Ropho Sales 300 on Oct. 22 will start at 6 p.m. and all races will be worth double points.
