The Associated Press, in a story Sunday about a federal report criticizing Monsanto Co., gave an incomplete description of the report's conclusions regarding an office of the Food and Drug Administration.
The report criticized the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine's response to Monsanto's actions in improperly promoting a bovine growth hormone before it got approval to sell the drug. The story, however, failed to note the report's conclusion that generally the center ``took appropriate corrective action.''
