Lisa Mortellaro, a registered nurse and nutritionist, will from 2 p.m. to 4
p.m. on Saturday at the Sedalia Center, Big Island, Bedford, teach how to take
advantage of the special properties of vegetables, combine them with other
whole foods and incorporate them into family menus. She will also discuss food
allergies, understanding food labels and the pros and cons of using
alternatives to sugar, dairy products, meat, yeast and wheat.
On Nov. 12, Mortellaro will cover the use of fruits, and on Dec. 10 she
will concentrate on grains. The $25 per class fee includes sampling, recipes,
