BOHON, Nancy Elizabeth 66, of Roanoke died Wednesday, October 19, 1994. Arrangements by Lotz Salem Chapel.

CASE, Charles Franklin III, 48, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 1994, in a local hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Case was Assistant Vice President for Norfolk Southern in Roanoke where he headed the accounting operations since 1987 having a distinguished career of 23 years of service to Norfolk Southern and its predecessors. After serving three years in the United States Air Force, Mr. Case attended and graduated from West Georgia College with a degree in accounting. He was a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church and an avid golfer and member of Hunting Hills Country Club. Surviving are his wife, Cheryl T. Case; two sons, Christopher and Ashley; sisters, Martha Broome of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Susan Scott of Pensacola, Fla.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pearl and Howard Tittle of Chattanooga, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Billie Jo Case and Charles Franklin Case Jr. Funeral services will be held at Cave Spring United Methodist Church 2 p.m. Friday, October 21, 1994. Graveside services will follow on Monday, October 24, 1994 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Chattanooga, Tenn. at 1 p.m. The Rev. William C. Logan will officiate. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's South Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Cave Spring United Methodist Church Building Fund.

COTTRELL, Robert Louis Sr., (``Buddy''), 64, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 1994. Arrangements by Lotz Vinton Chapel.

CROY, James Garvin, 82, of McCoy, died Wednesday, October 19, 1994. Mr. Croy was born in Pulaski County on September 20, 1912, a son of the late Brady Clifton and Lonnie Jordon Stafford Croy. He was a retired R.A.A.P. employee with 26 years of service and previously worked in the coal mines at McCoy for 18 years. Mr. Croy was a member of the C ommunity Christian Church at McCoy. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jewell Dillon Croy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Clara and R. E. Linkous, Memphis, Tenn., Margaret (``Moggie"") and Bruce Shepherd, Blacksburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell (``L.D."") and Betty Ann Croy, Pearisburg, Connie R. and Barbara Croy, Salem, Randy Patton and Pam Croy, McCoy; three sisters, Lyda McCoy and Pauline McCoy, both of McCoy, Mary Lilly and husband, Oakley, Christiansburg; one brother, John (``J.D."") Croy and wife, Elva, Burleson, Texas; a sister-in-law, Georgia Croy, McCoy; stepmother-in-law, Dolly Ruth Dillon, McCoy; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, October 21, at Community Christian Church, with Mr. Bobby E. Fuller and the Rev. Jimmie Lee Price officiating. FOX, David C., 52, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 1994, at the Virginia Veteran's Care Center. He was born April 19, 1942, and was preceded in death by his father, David L. Fox. David was stationed in the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson, S.C., and was selected to go to Arlington Hall in Washington, D.C., and served in the Army Security. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roanoke. David is survived by his mother, Juanita H. Fox, Roanoke; a brother, Stephen L. Fox, Houston, Texas; a special aunt, Dorothy Guilliams; several cousins. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Thomas Evans, his assistant, Mary Lou Barrett, Wilma Garner, Tracie Dickson and all of the nurses at the Virginia Veteran's Care and Medical Center for their comfort and special care during his illness. Graveside services will be at Evergreen Burial Park at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. John D. Cochran officiating . The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

GIBSON, Hazel Morgan, 82, of Hampton, died Wednesday, October 19, 1994, after a long illness. Mrs. Gibson was born in Dublin, and had been a resident of Hampton for 54 years. She retired from the Hampton City School System in 1974 and had taught at Armstrong Elementary, Willis Elementary, and Hampton High School during her career. She was the widow of Richard H. Gibson Jr, who served with the Hampton City School System. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hampton and had an active member of Alpha Delta Kappa and the Hampton Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Margaret G. Miller and John R. Miller of Salem, Cathryn G. Kibler and James F. Kibler of Hampton; and Carolyn G. Gilbert and William P. Gilbert of Poquoson; six grandchildren; James Kibler Jr. and his wife, Lorrie, Margaret Gilbert, John Miller Jr., Elizabeth Kibler, Rachel Gilbert and Paul Gilbert; also by her sister, Mrs. Margaret Smith of Wytheville; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruby Morgan of Fincastle. Visitation will be at Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home, Hampton, Thursday 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Condrey officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. JENNINGS, Letha H., 92, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, October 19, 1994, in a local hospital. She was a retired salesperson for S. H. Heironimus for 40 years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Maurice and Paige Jennings, Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Price, New Bern, N.C.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Price, Raleigh, N.C., Karen and Dave Petrie, Vinton, Cathy Jennings, Roanoke. Funeral services will be from the graveside at 11 a.m. Friday, Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. John D. Cochran. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to a favorite charity. LINDSEY, Mildred Gill, 93, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, October 18, 1994. She was born March 26, 1901, in Marion, Ky., daughter of the late Claude and Laura Gill. She grew up in rural Kentucky, attended school in a one room schoolhouse named Freedom School. She married the late Elmer Lindsey of Marion, Ky., in 1918. They moved to Roanoke in 1931. She was a member of the Evangel Four Square Church. Mrs. Lindsey will be remembered by her family as being a strong religious and resourceful person. She is survived by daughters, Lucille Cauffman, Vero Beach, Fla., Christine St.Clair, Roanoke, Edna Umberger, Roanoke, Martenia Palmer, Roanoke; two sons, Clifford Lindsey, Warrensville, N.C., Ollie Lindsey, Roanoke; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Fri day, October 21, 1994, at Oakey's Downtown Chapel with the Rev. Tim Wright and Rev. Michael Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 1994, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.

MILES, James Russell, 86, of Merritt Island, Fla. died Saturday, October 15, 1994. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Belcher; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Miles, Kimball, W.Va.; one brother, Robert Miles; his grandparents, Captain Robert E. Miles and wife, a Civil War Veteran from Montgomery Co. Survivors are three sons, James H. Miles Jr. and family, Alexandria, Va., W. Joseph Miles and family, Clayton, Missouri, Dr. Thomas P. Miles and family, Santa Rosa, Calif.; one brother, Ward P. Miles, Brandon, Fla.; also surviving are a host of cousins from the Roanoke/Salem Valley, including the families of: Molly Miles Sisson, Lena Miles Jewell, Cora Miles Sisson, Johnny Miles, Leona Miles Sisson and George and Maggie S. Poff. He was a Physics with the NASA Space Center; and was an active in the 55 + Club; played the violin in the Symphony Orchestra. PRICE, Joyce Ellen, 57, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, October 19, 1994, peacefully at her home with family by her side. She was born in Covington on March 11, 1937. Survivors include her husband, Carl M. Price, Roanoke; three daughters, Cynthia Weeks, Roanoke, Tracy Mirzayan and Steve, Roanoke, Shawn Bargerstock and Scott, Upper St. Clair, Penn.; one son, Scott Price, Roanoke; seven grandchildren. THOMAS, Agnes Osborne Mrs., 73, of Grassy Creek, N.C., passed away Tuesday, October 18, 1994, at N.C. Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, N.C. She was the widow of Edison M. Thomas. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Carol and the Rev. James Fishel, Randallstown, Md.; grandson and two granddaughters, Jonathan, Rebecca and Mary Fishel, all of Randallstown, Md.; sister-in-law, Florence Thomas, Grassy Creek, N.C.; niece, Betty Lou Plummer, Grassy Creek, N.C. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Grassy Creek U. M. Church with Revs. Peter Parish and James Fishel officiating. WASHINGTON, James William, (Bill), 92, of Lexington, died Monday, October 17, 1994 in a local nursing home. He was the son of the late James Elvin and Bertha Lee Washington. He was married to the late Cleo H. Washington. At the First Baptist Church, he served for many years as a deacon. Surviving are six stepgrandchildren and several cousins. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening. The graveside services will be held on Friday 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. J. Dennis Rose will deliver the eulogy.
