James Crisafi, owner of Roanoke Plumbing and Drain Service, and Michael Sanborn, a maintenance worker for Yokohama, each were charged with grand larceny in the Sept. 4 theft of tires valued at $1,710.
Police gave this account:
Two men went to the tire manufacturing facility at 1500 Indiana St., reportedly to make some repairs. Before they left, they packed a truck with tires. Acting on confidential information, police discovered the tires stored in a rented space on the 1900 block of West Main Street.
Sanborn, 31, of the 3100 block of Berry Lane, was arrested on Oct. 12. Crisafi, 36, of the 7000 block of Highfields Farm Drive, was arrested Wednesday. Both were released on bond.
