Isreal Alexander Lovewine, 21, entered a plea of no contest to the charge in Roanoke County Circuit Court on Wednesday morning.
The case stemmed from an incident on June 10. Lovewine was accused of flashing his lights at a car full of youths on Virginia 311 and telling them he wanted to question one of them about a "violent act" that occurred on Williamson Road, Commonwealth's Attorney Skip Burkart said.
The boy was driven to to Botetourt County, where he was molested twice. The 15-year-old had become suspicious when Lovewine passed the Interstate 581 exit but testified that Lovewine assured him he had proper credentials. When Lovewine's intentions became clear, the boy said, he was too frightened to flee.
The youth's description of his assailant and the vehicle matched another abduction and molestation complaint filed by a Roanoke teen, Burkart said. Additional charges in connection with both incidents have been placed in Botetourt County.
Lovewine's attorney, Tom Wray, had argued that his client was psychologically unable to go through with a trial.
Lovewine will be sentenced Dec. 6.
