ANN MARIE WOODS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Woods of Salem, has received the Sweet Briar Pannell Scholarship.
The Pannell Scholarship, named for Anne Gary Pannell, Sweet Briar College's fifth president, is awarded to students who have made a major contribution to school and community life and maintained strong academic records.
Woods is a graduate of Glenvar High School.
