TODAY'S TOPIC: LAWSUITS
The courts seem to be swamped with cases against organizations perceived as
having deep pockets. Many are by plaintiffs seeking settlements that are
disproportionately large when compared with the infraction. Many countries,
such as Germany, have limits on the amount of damages that can be awarded,
depending on the infraction. I would like to know if the candidates agree that
there is a problem with our civil court system and what steps they would take
to solve it, if elected.
