La Cafe Coffee & Tea opened this week on the top floor of the Upstairs Downstairs boutique at 27 W. Main St.
Judy Osborne, who will operate the cafe from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, is a friend of Marlis Ryssel-Flynn who owns the boutique. Flynn persuaded her to open the cafe, Osborne said.
``I've worked restaurants all my life,'' Osborne said, although she has never run an eating establishment. ``It's a first.''
The cafe will offer sandwiches, soups, daily specials, six specialty coffees and 10 kinds of tea.
