Barber had two interceptions and a pair of tackles for loss Saturday in the Cavaliers' 34-10 victory over No. 15-ranked North Carolina. He earlier had been named ACC rookie of the week, the first player this season to be recognized two times.
It was the third two-interception game of the season for Barber, whose 1.0 interceptions per game (seven in seven games) are tied for first in Division I-A with Aaron Beasley of West Virginia. Barber also leads the ACC in pass break-ups with nine.
