The Wildcats took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when Brian King returned an interception 95 yards for a touchdown.
Martinsville (4-4 overall, 4-3 Piedmont District) retaliated in the second quarter when Fredrico Hairston recovered a fumble in the end zone after teammate Derrick Wright scooped up a Dan River fumble at the 17-yard line before coughing it up at the goal line.
Farmer's score came after Martinsville quarterback Manti Venable was sacked for the sixth time and stripped of the ball. Venable went 8-for-18 for 135 yards and four interceptions.
Both teams were heavily penalized - Dan River for 75 yards and Martinsville for 100 - and the Bulldogs had a touchdown called back in the third quarter when the team had 12 men on the field and was penalized for illegal participation.
Martinsville had 278 yards in offense and Dan River (7-1, 6-1) had 144. Eric Ferguson was 4-for-12 with an interception for the Wildcats.

Alleghany 6
Northside running backs Karim Thompson and Darius Henderson scored back-to-back second-quarter touchdowns in a 1 minute, 24 second span to lead the Vikings to a Blue Ridge District win.
Thompson and Henderson gained 119 and 83 rushing yards, respectively, as Northside improved to 7-1 overall, 4-1 in the district and in contention for its first Blue Ridge title. Alleghany is 3-6 and 1-3.

WYTHEVILLE - Rodney Belcher rushed for 114 yards on 10 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead a powerful George Wythe rushing attack past John Battle in a Hogoheegee District game.
The Maroons (7-2, 6-1) jumped out to a 32-0 halftime lead behind Belcher, who scored all three of his touchdowns - two rushing, one receiving - in the first half.
Belcher scored on runs of 7 and 25 yards, and caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Rick Coeburn.
Matt Spraker helped the Maroon cause, rushing for 103 yards on 13 carries as George Wythe finished with 321 yards rushing on 46 carries.
John Battle (1-8, 1-7) rushed for 140 yards - 75 of that coming in its final drive.
Bland County 30

RINER- Josh Stinson ran all over the Eagles, scoring three touchdowns as Bland County (6-2) rolled over Auburn (1-8) in a non-district game.
Stinson scored on runs of 1, 49, and 10 yards and John Michael Newberry had a 28-yard touchdown gallop to lead the Bears. Monty Matthews also kicked a 45-yard field goal for Bland County.

COLLINSVILLE - Kevin Franklin had two touchdown runs and Brian Alley threw a pair of scoring passes to Delvin Joyce in a 42-point first half that carried the Cavaliers (4-4, 3-4) past the Hawks (0-8, 0-7) in the Piedmont District.
Franklin broke loose on 16- and 42-yard touchdown runs in the first quarter for Fieldale-Collinsville, which led 24-6 after the opening period.
Alley threw 57 yards to Joyce for a touchdown in the first quarter and hooked up with him for an 11-yarder in the second period.
Derek Bond and William Merritt provided much of the offense for Gretna. Bond returned a kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown and caught a 58-yard scoring strike from Merritt. The Hawks' quarterback also connected with Jeremiah Irvin on a 25-yard touchdown pass and ran for a two-point conversion.
Buffalo Gap 31
Bath County 20
SWOOPE - Ray Humphries rushed for 89 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead Buffalo Gap past the 6th-ranked team in Group A, Bath County.
Humphries scored both touchdowns in the first half. The first was a 2-yard run to tie the game at 7. The second was a 3-yard run in the second quarter that helped the Bison to a 24-7 halftime lead.
Bath County (7-1) scored first in the second half on a 19-yard pass from Billy Thomas to Jamie Carroll to cut the lead to 24-14.
On the ensuing kickoff, Mike Bojko rambled to the Bath County 34-yard line. Quarterback Ryan Durham took it in from there on the next play to give the Bison a commanding 31-14 lead.
Durham completed four of six passes for 129 yards - all in the first half - and Bojko caught three of those passes for 80 yards.
Carroll led the Chargers with 76 yards on 16 carries.
Northwood 21
Rural Retreat 18
RURAL RETREAT - Steve Harris scored a 1-yard touchdown with nine minutes left to cap a back-and-forth game and give Northwood a Hogoheegee District victory.
The teams traded touchdowns throughout the game, but Rural Retreat's failure to score on all three of its touchdown conversions made the difference.
Northwood (5-3) also got touchdowns run from David Fergurson (10 yards) and Randy Reeves (8 yards).
Rural Retreat (5-3) got touchdown runs from Ronnie Six, Fred Rogers and Kenny Lethco. The Indians rushed for 263 yards.
Covington 21

BUENA VISTA - Calvin Cooper scored on a pair of 1-yard runs in the fourth quarter to lead the Cougars to a Pioneer District victory.
Parry McCluer (2-6, 2-2) led 7-6 early in the fourth quarter and was close to scoring again, but the Fighting Blues fumbled on the Covington 5-yard line with 11 minutes to play. The Blues lost three fumbles in the game.
The Cougars took over and marched 95 yards on 11 plays. Cooper, who finished with 117 yards on 13 carries, had runs of 33 and 19 yards on the scoring drive. He ran for the go-ahead score with 8:09 to play.
Parry McCluer fumbled at midfield on its next possession and the Cougars took six plays to score again. Cooper scored on another 1-yard run with 3:07 left.
Magna Vista 17
Chatham 12
RIDGEWAY - Germaine Simmons ran for 64 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Warriors to a Piedmont District victory.
Simmons scored on a 3-yard pass from Leroy Valentine and on a 2-yard run, and the Magna Vista defense came up with a big goal-line stand in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.
Chatham got a pair of touchdowns from Jerome Smith, one a 38-yard run in the third quarter.
With nine minutes left to play, Chatham was threatening near the Magna Vista goal line, only to be thrown for a loss on third down and stopped again on fourth down.
Patrick County 29
Laurel Park 0
STUART - Andy Stanley rushed for 216 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Cougars past the Lancers in a Piedmont District game.
Stanley scored on a 5-yard run in the first quarter to give Patrick County (6-2, 5-2) a 14-0 lead.
Stanley added a 20-yard run in the fourth quarter, in which the Cougars scored 15 to put away Laurel Park (4-4, 3-4).
