Milton rushed for four touchdowns, threw for one and ran for a two-point conversion to account for 32 of Giles' 35 points.
Giles (8-0) took a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter as Milton scored on runs of 4 and 6 yards.
James Monroe (4-4) countered with less than eight minutes to go in the first half when Adam Jackson hauled in a 9-yard pass from Grigsby for the score. The Mavericks missed the two-point conversion pass, but cut the lead to 14-6.
The Spartans responded to that drive by going 65 yards and scoring when Milton, who completed nine of 16 passes for 185 yards, found Reggie Hoston in the end zone with 56 seconds to go in the half. Hoston's run for the conversion gave Giles a 22-6 halftime lead.
Milton then scored on a 6-yard run in the fourth quarter to give Giles a 28-6 lead.
The Spartans finished with 251 yards rushing and 436 yards of total offense while holding the Mavericks to 25 yards rushing and 135 yards of total offense.

RINER - Josh Stinson ran all over the Eagles, scoring three touchdowns as the Bears (6-2) rolled past Auburn (1-8) in non-district action.
Stinson scored on runs of 1, 49, and 10 yards, and John Michael Newberry scored on a 28-yard gallop for Bland County. Monty Matthews added a 45-yard field goal for the Bears.
Jeremy Akers led Auburn with 58 yards passing on seven completions, including a 2-yard touchdown toss to Terry Millirons. Junior DeHart had two interceptions for the Eagles.

RICHLANDS - Jeremy McCommons galloped for more than 200 yards, surpassing the 1,300-yard mark for the season, and scored two touchdowns as the Tornadoes defeated the Indians in non-district action.
Richlands (8-1) took a 21-0 lead into the locker room and never looked back. Steve Dye aided the Tornadoes' cause by passing for 75 yards, including one touchdown, and ran 5 yards for a touchdown.

BUCHANAN - Mark Whiting rushed for 210 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Knights rolled up 437 yards on the ground and overran the Shawnees in a non-district game.
Whiting scored on runs of 29 and 23 yards in the first quarter as James River (2-6) jumped took a 21-0 lead. Whiting had a 60-yard scoring jaunt in the second quarter and sprinted 47 yards for his final touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Shawsville (1-7) scored once in the first three quarters - Chris Graham's 1-yard run and the conversion kick made it 21-7 in the second - then tacked on 19 fourth-quarter points. Chris Briggs scored on a 1-yard run and returned a kickoff 76 yards for a touchdown in the final period.
The Shawnees finished with 337 yards of offense, 135 of those coming on Graham's 10-for-21 passing performance. Briggs carried 20 times for 170 yards, and Corey Dow had six catches for 82 yards.
John Pearson rushed for 117 yards and scored a touchdown for James River, and Brian LeFlore rushed for 94 yards, including a 53-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

BLUEFIELD - Jacob Dews had 10 carries for 201 yards and three touchdowns as the G-Men routed the Cavaliers in a non-district matchup.
Brandon Banks added 11 carries for 107 yards and one touchdown as Graham (6-3) amassed 385 yards rushing. The G-Men's final score came on a 55-yard interception return by George Webb.
Carroll County's lone score came on an 18-yard run by Barry Stockner in the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers (1-8) finished with 326 yards of total offense.

NEW CASTLE - Robbie Huffman tossed an 8-yard touchdown pass to Zachary Peters with six minutes remaining to give the Rockets their first victory over the Highlanders since 1989.
The winning touchdown was set up when Glenvar (4-4 overall, 2-2 in the district) elected to go for a first down on fourth-and-two from its 29-yard line and was stopped.
The Rockets (4-4, 2-3) picked up a 15-yard penalty during the winning drive, but kept the ball moving with a 25-yard pass from Huffman to Chris Blankenship.
Glenvar, which outgained Craig 218-108 in the Pioneer District game, moved from its 34-yard line to the Rockets' 18 in the closing minutes, but Blankenship ended Glenvar's final threat with an end-zone interception.
