FRANKLIN COUYNTY
Bonds: Voters will be asked to approve a $15 million bond issue, mostly for schools and other county capital items, such as economic development.
Commissioner of Revenue: Incumbent Republican Joyce Fuller is being challenged by Democrat Raymond Albanowski.

RADFORD

Bonds: Voters will be asked to approve a $23 million bond issue, the largest single chunk of which ($7.2 million) will go to schools. The rest is for meat and potatoes projects such as street pavings and bridge repairs, with the exception of $1.3 million in funding for a railwalk and $800,000-odd as a grant to the Virginia Museum of Transportation.
ROANOKE COUNTY
Voters in three district will elect School Board members.
Windsor Hills District: Richard Cullinan, Tom Leggette, Lisa Merrill and Wayne Newman are competing for a single seat.
Vinton District: Evelyn Ball, Robert Rouse and Michael Stovall are competing for a single seat.
Hollins District: Incumbent Jerry Canada is unopposed.
