Because of a production problem, a quote from Vice President Al Gore was incomplete in a story Saturday about comments Former First Lady Nancy Reagan made about Republican Senate candidate Oliver North. The complete quote from Gore should have read: ``I did not intend it in the way some heard it, but that is no excuse, and I apologize. The phrase, `pathological liar,' by contrast, is completely appropriate as an accurate description of Oliver North - as Nancy Reagan's statement again made clear today.''
