The Terriers (13-5) trailed by one at halftime, but pulled away in the second half. Kristie Dyer had all 12 of her points in the final two quarters as Byrd outscored Blacksburg 39-19. Kelli Runyon added 10 points for the Terriers and SMith grabbed 10 rebounds to go with five steals.
Blacksburg (8-10) was led by Andrea Feret's 16 points. Lisa Price added 11 and Ellen James scored 10 for the Indians.
