Because of an editorial assistant's error, the Roanoke Express hockey schedule in Friday's calendar of events was incorrect. The next home game is at 7 tonight.
An item in Monday's "And Now This ..." column implied that a community meeting tonight with the Virginia Department of Transportation and Back Creek residents on the widening of U.S. 221 would be open to the public. The meeting, in fact, is for people who signed up at a June public meeting to be on a citizen advisory committee. For more information, call Laura Bullock at VDOT, 387-5493.
Clarification
B-in-Touch Card Shop at 301 S. Jefferson St., Roanoke, is not affiliated with B-in-Touch Cards and Gifts on Electric Road in Salem. The Salem store's filing for liquidation under bankruptcy law, reported on Saturday's Business page, does not affect the Roanoke operations, according to its owner.
