2 CHARGED WITH SNATCHING BOYS' TREATS

Two Roanoke Valley teen-agers were charged with taking candy from three Roanoke County boys who trick-or-treating Monday night, police said.

Police gave this account: Two boys who were in the area of Colony Lane and Overdale Drive told police they were surrounded by a group of nine boys around 7 p.m. They gave police a description of one boy who took their candy. As police were taking the report, another teen-ager identified a similar-looking boy who had taken candy from him earlier that night.

Police located a group of teen-agers walking at Pebble Creek Apartments and charged a 14-year-old boy with three counts of strong-armed robbery. Police did not release the name of the juvenile.

Jason L. Andrews, 19, of the 4200 block of Griffin Road, Roanoke, who was in the group, was charged with contributing to the deliquency of minors.

Later the same night, a 12-year-old boy reported to police that a man driving a two-door blue car, took his bag of candy at Luwana and Farmington drives. The man then drove away. No one has been arrested in that incident.
